I have a wirehaired V who is 4months old. Her coat is very smooth, and I just wondered when you might expect her coat to change?

Hi, we have a 5 month old WHV and so far he has beard and snout fur and a two tone coat, but not a massive amount of wirey-ness.

It could take a year or longer and some never get wiry. I'd look for facial furnishings, along the spine and tail, and between the paw pads for indicators.

We have a wire haired who’s coming up for a year. His wires came through from around four months and this is the top of his coat now. We’ve also noticed more facial hair coming through in the last few weeks.
We’re in Sutton, so not that far from you if you fancy ever meeting for a mini Viz Whiz…?
