My advance apology if this is a ridiculous question(s). If you have a Vizsla (any dog) in heat, do wild animals respond differently to their presence? For example, if you have coyotes in the area, would a male coyote respond like a male dog or ignore? Would a pack behave differently with smelling a female dog in heat? Pumpkin is coming into her 1st cycle , and I'm thinking about random things since I am new to having a dog in heat. Thanks.

Kellygr,

There are plenty of reasons a coyote would be interested in a dog in heat. Any canine should be interested.

Breeding of wolfs and domestic dogs go back to "Call of the Wild" here in the west.

Keep Pumpkin in your site or in closed areas for at least three weeks.

Good luck and enjoy life's cycle.

Rod
