Hi! We have a 6 month vizsla puppy who is still having trouble with potty training. He is great when we leave him gated in the kitchen while we are at work all day. He will hold it for 8 hours but if I bring him into the living room he will poop on the rug even after he has gone out every 30mins. Any advice will be helpful
If he always poops on the rug then try removing the rug. It may have a smell that he associates with going to the loo. Even if you clean things that have been used once by a pup they will always smell/remember.
My Mum has a rug in her house that have been used as a toilet by 2 different pups I've had, both pups past being toilet trained. The only reason for this must be smell.
