We just got our Dexter a week ago. We have been Rottie parents for the last nine years. We lost our big male, Hogan, in February. We travel a lot in our motorhome and have been disappointed numerous times by RV parks because they practice breed discrimination and don't allow Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, etc. Hogan was the most affectionate dog we had ever had so we wanted to find a dog that was that way but would not be rejected at RV parks. So far Dexter is filling the bill. He is, as promised, a real 'Velcro' dog.

Hi.
We've had 3 Rotties losing our last one at only 7 years old made us look very closely at the general health of breeds before deciding on Vizslas. And yes you certainly get a different response with Vizslas than Rotties.
The funny thing is that our wee Vizsla girl would be much more likely to take matters into her own hands if she felt she was being pushed around, the Rotties just didn't care.
It is great though to have dogs that can run and run without always looking for the tell tale signs of a limp.
