Well our 9 1/2 week old Ziva is certainly keeping us hopping and there is NEVER EVER a dull moment.
This evening while we were eating dinner she had been playing nearby with her toys making all kinds of noise. I realized things had gotten fairly quiet and I turned to find her standing INSIDE our Amazon parrot's big cage (which is a few inches off the floor and about 5 1/2 foot tall) The parrot was near us eating his dinner on his parrot stand. Ziva evidently felt the need to investigate Ziggy's digs since the door was open. When she realized she had been caught - she turned to look at us like ... WHAT????!!!!! You gotta a problem with this?! :
Then shortly after that my husband had taken her out to the side yard to potty.... he said she did her business and then sat down and just surveyed her domain as she often does.... when suddenly he realizes she is every so slowly standing and going into a point stance.... however, he really wasn't following her gaze thinking she probably saw a bird in one of the low trees or bushes... and before he knew what happened she lunged like a shot and had a small black snake in her mouth with either end wiggling like crazy from her mouth.. he yelled for her to drop it and thank goodness she listened... the snake probably thinking what the heck just happened to me.. slithered off into the neighbors yard and Ziva very proud of herself trotted back toward the steps to the front door.
Never ever a dull moment since our baby girl entered our lives a week and a half ago!
