Neutering 9 month old puppy

Hi everyone, I have a neutered 10 year old male Bruno, and a 9 month old male Jack , the puppy is beginning to show signs of sexual interest in the older one, like smelling him continuously also when he get up from his bed he goes sniffing we’re he was laying .
Meal times are becoming an issue. I think Bruno is beginning to feel threatened of Jack, so I was wondering if neutering Jack will help to avoid any future problem between them . Is he to young ? On May 29 he will 10 months old.
I have read posts on this matter but didn’t find one were there is a older dog involved.
