We had first pick of the males and picked one that had a white spot on his chest and a dusting on his toe. He was bold and stout and has a good size head and color. So hard to know we chose the right one from the four. Are the white makings a concern? We are looking for a good house dog and hunting partner . We will love our new pup no matter what.

I believe the white markings are only a concern if you plan on showing your dog in the ring. Other than that he should be fine.
Congrats, when do you get to bring him home?

Holley's white marking was what we fell in love with when we saw her. The breeder told us that they are allowed to have a little bit on the chest. It is acceptable. We don't plan on showing her anyway though.
