Question North Texas (Plano) Areas to Run

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone knows some good spots that I can let my dogs run off leash. Dog parks do not cut it in the DFW area and as you know these guys need to run. I have found that all the "hiking" in the area is either concrete or full of mountain bikes/people. Any recommendations for some longer hikes off-leash areas would be much appreciated!

I have heard of something called sniffspot.com. People rent out their backyards or acreage for a safe place for dogs to run and play. You have to join and reserve the space with your phone. It's ideal for people who are traveling with their dog and don't want to chance a dog park. It's not available in our area, but I think it is relatively new and will likely have more sniff spots available as people learn about it and want to offer their own fenced in yard or acreage for rent
.
