Weekend bird fun / Texas in September

We escaped from hot Houston for the weekend to Hill Country hilly shades (as much as that term exists in Texas) to have some bird work fun, using quail. On top of usual finds and points, practiced whoa when bird flushed and shot, gun fired meaning bird to retrieve, retrieve (feather in mouth and bring to hand) and some backing. Everyone had great fun, and tired now. Of course with humans wanting tomorrow be just another weekend day:-)

They are looking good.
Hoping we have actual cool weather, before we know it.
But I'm with you, a slightly cooler morning is welcome change.

Not all those who wander are lost.

Life is just a leap of faith.
Spread your arms and hold your breath and always trust your cape.

Two things define you. Your patience when you have nothing, and your attitude when you have everything.
