The next question I have is why is there no "edit" button on prior posts? Can we not go back in and change/re-word or delete our own posts?

Ok, so when I posted this one, it gave me the "edit"button - but it's not up on any other post, including the one above.

Knowledge and tools all help in training your dog, but have no worth whatsoever if one does not get up and actually go train.

I think there have a timeline on edits by default, did you guys have the ability to edit for lifetime?

We can update.

Yes, it was where members could edit past posts for a lifetime.
So many of us are posting on the go, or would like to word something a little better.
Personally, I think members should at least be given a month to edit a post.

Not all those who wander are lost.

Life is just a leap of faith.
Spread your arms and hold your breath and always trust your cape.

Two things define you. Your patience when you have nothing, and your attitude when you have everything.

10-4,

I will get it updated to 30 days or so, we normally don't want users to edit or delete tons of posts down the road.

I personally think it should be for lifetime. We wrote it, we should have the say on whether we want to edit or delete our intellectual property, on loan to Vizsla forums.

Another thing about the new forum - when you click on the recent discussions thread topic you want to see now it takes you to page 1 instead of to the newest post. Maybe just my preference, but it's annoying having to scroll through the same posts every time... for ex. the "Images needed for new..." is on page 4 now, but through the quick link it still takes you to page 1.
Just a small irritant in the age of technology

Also - the colour scheme. do others actually like this? The kind of fleshy tone and stark white? I much preferred the greens. I personally prefer a darker background especially on screens as it tends to be easier on the eyes. I find the comments about the old site being retro strange because to me *this* colour scheme looks way more retro. Just my 2 cents - would love to hear the community's thoughts!

I lost my favorite avatar! I had no clue that the forum was being changed and was sooo totally shocked this morning when I logged in.
It is going to take time for me to learn to navigate this. I used to like just quickly popping in before going to work and seeing what was going on

if you still have your pic on your laptop/device you can still upload it. mine wouldn't upload straight from my gallery though (probably too big) but it uploaded after I'd saved it to my desktop.

also, if you go onto the main forums page, there is an icon that looks like a chevron next to the most recent post in that section, if you click on that it takes you straight to the most recent post

Wow, does this new forum burn through data. I'm watching my bitmeter and this is the only thing running. As we pay dearly for data here in rural america I'll have to re-think how often I come here. I think it's from the advertising videos that automatically run on the side, which I despise.
