Unhappy House guest

Jesse was pulled from a shelter, and will be with me while transport is being setup to get him to Dallas. He's already seen a vet, had xrays, and consulted with a surgeon. Poor baby has blunt force trauma to his right leg, and hip.
He's on good pain meds, and believe it or not happy as can be.

We had hoped to save his leg, and we could try. But he would have life long pain in his hip, and would later have to under go FHO. Both vets believe amputation would have the best outcome for him. While it makes me sad. By doing it, he will get to go back to playing in a couple of weeks.
He leaves me tomorrow. He's headed to Dallas for surgery, and to start the next phase in his life. One of a much loved puppy.

He looks mostly Lab. Due to his one ear being different, there is a little something else mixed in.
Yes, he's a dark sliver.

He will go in "Styl'n" with his new gear ... what an adorable pup... some one is going to love that little guy even if he has to lose a leg... he won't give a hoot!
He will probably be elated that the misery is gone, and now he can just play and get on with being a dog!
