Possibly adding a 2nd V?

There is a 3 year old neutered male who needs rehoming. He is not good with toddlers and therefore is in the rescue in Peterborough through the Vizsla Society of Ontario. I have contacted the woman who has this posted to find out more about his situation. My husband seems keen to get another V. I am not so sure as we have 2 cats, Dharma who is 1 year old and 2 guinea pigs. Part of me would welcome another dog.... part of me says are you insane? I DUNNO!
No information yet wait and see? ???

Re: Possibly adding a 2nd V?

We have a 14 year old dachshund, a 3 year old female V and a 5 year old V who we adopted last year.

Best thing we ever did! They are best buddies, play together and wear each other out. It is much easier on us and much better for them.

I say go for it!

Re: Possibly adding a 2nd V?

This boy is local. He is about 1//2 hour away from us. He is on his 3rd home-really disconcerting for us. He has snapped at a toddler and they don't really know the circumstances but are not taking any chances. He has been allowed to get away with everything and will require a lot of training. He does not walk well on a leash either. He is a PJ s Pet Store dog that was rescued by the VSO. I am concerned about his health too. I have contacted the person who is rehoming him and left a voicemail message. Will have to wait and see what comes of it.

Re: Possibly adding a 2nd V?

I agree with Vizsla Baby. We have a 5 year old male and 3 1/2 year old female. Best move we ever made. They play together so well and wear each other out. It has actually mellowed the male so much that he is one of the best behaved dogs we've ever had. She has always been well behaved. Go for it!

Having two Vizslas means having two heartbeats in your lap!
