Say hello to Hattie

She had been running the streets since last Saturday. Bribed with burritos and other treats, till on Thursday she got close enough to be caught. While her face and eyes have vizsla traits, she has other traits that are not vizsla.
If her owners don't claim her over the weekend, she'll visit the vet for a full check up on Monday.

I can't see anything but Vizsla, even your earlier pic suggests V to me, possibly some wirehaired V thrown in there?

Hello Hattie! What a sweetie Hattie is! Do you have any guess at her approximate age? (Right, not knowing her exact genetic make up does not help in that regard!)

Just guessing around 2. Hoping my vet can narrow it down a little more. She loves playing fetch, found where I keep the dog food, and fed herself. My husband came home, and she ditched me for him.

Re: Say hello to Hattie

Just saw a post about her shared on facebook, so at least word is getting around. Hope her owners find her soon! When we lived in Spring, my other red head went missing for a week. It was pretty devastating to come home for a college break to be told my dog was lost. Thankfully she turned up before I had to go back.

Re: Say hello to Hattie

The lady that helped catch her had plenty of people saying they would take her. You get that when the word vizsla is used. With this being the holidays, I feel extra time needs to be taken before trying to place her. And returning her to her owners takes priority over a new home. I will NOT be giving her away. If she needs a new home it will go through Cane Rosso Rescue.
If June starts to get to pissy about having a house guest Drakes Sporting Dogs will help with boarding, and working on obedience. My phone call to them yesterday started with "How's my favorite nephew. "

Re: Say hello to Hattie

I love the name Hattie! It was in the running for our new pup (named after a Cove that me and my hubby love) but he nixed it. It suits her!

She is a beautiful girl. I definitely see some lab in those ears. The V mix I fostered (that Dexter's Mom helped me with) has similar ears and tail to Hattie. Can you post some more pics? I'm curious Our mix girl was pretty well all V in character (though I swear my fosters take on some V traits that they learn from Aspen, for better or worse :P ).

Thanks for saving her! She is in great hands until she is hopefully reunited with her family.

Her ears, and hind legs remind me more of Currs than Labs at times. She's tall and slender. A little taller than Cash at the shoulders.
And she is just infatuated with my husband.

That pic with your husband (adorable) shows her the most un-Vizsla. When you said "red lab" back in the Lost thread, I thought "MeAndMy3" - our red lab expert, but she hasn't posted in a long time.
